Spout Pouch
This pouch has a spout.
It can be used to hold liquids,
jellies, powders, and more.

Spout packaging can
be made in two types:
a three-way pouch and
a three-way stand-up pouch.
(Please refer to the previous article
for details on three-way and
three-way stand-up pouches.)

* Notes
When filling with a spout,
check whether it's automatic or manual.

For automatic filling,
even if the sizes are the same,
be sure to check the spout shape
before proceeding.

Spout pouches are used
for packaging food and
products such as liquids or gels.
(for liquid coffee concentrate packaging)

* Things to keep in mind
when making spout pouches:

1) Pouch type
a) Three-Way Pouch
b) Three-Way Stand-up Pouch

1) Spout Pouch Type
A) Three-Way Pouch Type

A three-way pouch is

sealed on three sides and

has a spout at the opening.

For the three-way pouch type,
simply determine the
opening direction and size.

a three-way pouch, refer to the
"Three-Way Stand Pouch"
section in the left category.

B) Three-Way Stand Type
Spout (Three-Way Stand Type),
Size: Width 80 × Height 120
× Base 50 mm, Cap Size: 9 mm

Like the three-way stand type,
the base is inserted, allowing the
pouch to stand upright.

Printing is also possible
on the bottom edge.

* For the three-way pouch type,
simply determine the
opening direction and size.

* For instructions on making
a three-way stand pouch,
refer to "Three-Way Stand Pouch"
in the left-hand category.

2) Spout Type

Size: Width 120 mm, Height 160 mm,

Base 70 mm, Cap size 22 mm

Size: Width 180 mm, Height 220 mm,
Base 100 mm, Cap Size 15 mm

Spouts are available in center
and corner styles.
(You can choose either
the left or right corner.)

Customers can choose between
center and corner styles,
but corner styles are generally
used for larger contents.

3) Spout Cap Size
Once you've decided which
direction you want the spout to face,
you need to choose the cap size.

The cap size in the orange pouch
pictured above is 22mm,
and the cap size in the green pouch
is 15mm (based on diameter).

Sizes range from 9mm to 36mm.

Jelly or protein shakes
are typically 22 mm or larger.
