 * What is a 3-side seal pouch?

This pouch is manufactured
with three sides sealed,
leaving the top (or bottom) open.
(Usually marked as "top-down")

The contents are placed
into the open side and sealed.

* Things to Know When
Making a 3-Side Seal Pouch
1) Sealing width
2) Notch
3) Zipper
4) Hang hole
5) Corner
6) Coating

1) Sealing width

A sealing width of

5 to 10 mm is commonly used.

We can manufacture products
with the desired sealing thickness.
However, if you are unable
to determine the sealing
thickness yourself,
please contact the manufacturer.
They will recommend an appropriate
sealing width for the pouch size.

A seal that is too thick
on a small pouch
will reduce its capacity.

Conversely, a seal that is
too thin on a large pouch can
cause the seal to burst due to
the large volume of the contents.

2) Notch

This option is required

for all three-way pouches

(except for spout pouches).

This option allows
customers to easily open
the pouch without tools.

3) Zipper (optional)

This option adds a zipper
to the interior of the pouch.

This option is unnecessary
if the customer uses the pouch
once and then throws it away.

But it's useful if the customer
plans to use the pouch multiple times
or needs to close it after use.

Adding the zipper to
a three-way pouch or stand-up pouch
will incur a small additional charge.

4) Hanger Punching

There are two main types
of hanger punching:
"circular" and "hat-shaped."

This is required
if you plan to hang the pouch
on a display case.

You can opt for this if you prefer.

<Handle Punching>

A handle punch is available
for use as a shopping bag.

Punching incurs
a small additional cost due
to the loss involved.

5) Corners

Most three-way pouches are square.

You can choose
whether the four corners are
right angles or rounded.

*Prices do not vary depending
on the corner option,
but round perforations
may not be available,
or the finish may be uneven.

6) Coating

Coating is available in
gloss (left) and matte (right).

Choosing a coated paper
is highly subjective,
so you can choose based
on your pouch design.

* There may be
a slight price difference
depending on whether you choose
glossy or matte coating.
